For the fourth press review I’m going to talk about the Miss world pageant, that took place this weekend, in London, in the United Kingdom.
The Miss World pageant is the oldest surviving major international beauty pageant as is Miss Universe which started the same year.
It was created in the same place, in the United Kingdom, by Eric Morley in 1951.
Unfortunately, Miss France, was stumped really early, so she wasn’t in the top 25 where there was a lot of countries situated everywhere in the world; for example, there were Bolivia, China, The Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Sudan, Vietnam, Finland, Ghana, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, Trinidad and Tobago etc
In the Top 11, we could find countries like India, Guyana, Brazil, Kenya, Mexico, Thailand and the other countries that were in the top 5.
First, in the fifth position, we find the English candidate,
Then, in the fourth position, we can see fine Miss Australia.
In the third place was pretty Elizabeth Safrit representing the United States, with Hungary's very good looking Edina Kulcsár, in the second place.
Completing one of the most innovative and beautiful Miss World productions,(except my favourite Aishwarya Raï), Rolene Strauss, fourth year medical student and model hailing from sunny South Africa, has come out victorious and is the new Miss World 2014!
Asked why she felt she wanted to be Miss World, the 22-year-old captivating beauty said: "Being proudly South African, I have firsthand experienced that unity, respect, forgiveness exist, those being all the aspirations of the Miss World organization, so it would be amazing to represent an organization that is a beacon of hope all over the world." I don’t know if you appreciate her, but I do, and I think she is going to be a generous and good miss world.
